Hi everyone, welcome to my new website called Shipley Donuts Waco! My name is Caleb and every year me and my family we travel to Waco in Texas to go visit some good old friends. You can find out more about me here in my short bio.

I decided to start this blog to share my experiences through my travels since me and my family like to travel a couple times a year. But, nothing beats our yearly trip to Waco because of the delicious Shipley Do-Nuts I get to treat myself with! Haha.

For you guys who are wondering, Waco is a medium size town in Texas with around 130K in population. It is located half way between Dallas and Austin along the Brazos River. Beside my love for Shipley Do-Nuts that I will be discussing more in my next blog posts, there is many attractions, parks & recreation in Waco, Texas. I will talk about a few of them later on but if you are looking to visit that beautiful city you can find more information on the website of the city of Waco by clicking here.

The first time I visited Waco I think it was 3 years ago, my family and I went to the Mammoth National Monument. Our tour guide was Joy and she knew a lot about the history of Mammoths. I had just watched Ice Age not too long before so it was very interesting for me to learn how those animals perished and to see all the bones of mammoths and camels in one place! The fossils were in the natural setting, I really liked that! Our tour guide was very friendly and welcomed my millions of questions, thanks Joy! I still have a mammoth figurine that I bought at the gift shop at the end of the day. It is one of my favorite memories of my first trip to Waco. The Mammoth National Monument is definitely a must see if you are visiting the area!

Stay tuned, tomorrow I will tell you how I found the Shipley Do-Nuts and how my love for those delicious pastries started! You don’t want to miss this!
